The issues with stackoverflow
When I am developing something or other I tend to use this one site alot. Stack overflow. The #1 place for developers to find help. Over the years Stack has branched out to sites from 3d printing (One of my favorites) to Bicycles. I have had a stack account for a couple years. I have decided to deactivate my account because of the culture of stack oveflow. I have noticed that it has become a place for senior developers to critisize junior developers. The other issue is that some people don’t phrase or format their questions properly and they get tons of backlash. Stack overflow moderators are almost like roblox moderators. They don’t care and if they did not see it it did not happen. The big issue of stackoverflow is their user base and volume of questions. You can lookup anything on stack and you will find a close or ridiculous answer.
Some developer communities are full of passionate people that don’t mind taking the extra time to help you. Some examples are language specific subreddits, Discorse message boards and so much more. You will find help from these places without the backlash for asking a question.
I hope that if you don’t have a stack account, dont bother to create one. You are just joining a community of Karens with degrees, that hate newcomers
